A large box liquor store was founded on the idea of curating a land of adult beverage discovery that combines the intimacy and boutique feel of a corner bottle shop with the selection and convenience of a big box store. The goal is to infuse technology into an otherwise-dated industry and provide an unparalleled experience.

The Opportunity

Problem 1: The Client wanted to know more about their customers and spending habits and leveraged its Point of Sale System (POS) and Loyalty program data. Unfortunately, the raw data offered limited value when understanding the bigger picture.
 

The Solution + Results

Solution 1: Nexus developed a Shopping Cart analysis dashboard to understand trends and see which products were purchased together to maximize up-sales. Home delivery was becoming more prevalent during the pandemic, and the system used customer demographic information to understand the persona of different customers. Nexus developed reports to visualize which personas were purchasing products in-store versus home delivery which allowed the store to reorganize the warehouse to maximize efficiency for the delivery operation.
